UWW To Honor Dr. Richard Lee

Before his tenure at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Dr. Richard Lee served as a Dean at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. The UWW campus is planning a memorial event for Dr. Lee. Per The Whitewater Banner web site:

UWW Memorial Event: Tuesday, 26 May (2:00p – 4:00p) University Center Ballroom, Room 275 - A Celebration of the Life and Times of Richard C. Lee A program will be scheduled for 2:45p. (If you have a special desire to say something at this event, please Email stonej@uww.edu Those wishing to contribute items (i.e., special memories, great moments, funny Richardisms, etc.) to a memory book/board (to be displayed at the event) can forward the information to Sally Lange langes@uww.edu. Photos, also, would be welcome.

A memorial fund has been established on campus. The intention is to create a scholarship fund in Richard’s name that will be awarded annually to a wheelchair basketball player. (Richard loved basketball, and his support of the UWW Wheelchair team was rabid.) Checks can be made out to UW-Whitewater Foundation (put “Richard Lee Scholarship Fund” in the subject line.) Donations can be made at the memorial event on campus on the 26th.
